Description
Cool-de-sac Play Cafe is a unique dining concept designed specifically with kids and parents in mind. The circular dining area is surrounded with fun and educational kids' stations that allow kids to play while Mom and Dad relax and eat. The play areas include a mobilization area for infants and toddlers, jungle gyms, computer units, dress-up areas, lego stations, arts and crafts areas and more! The health-conscious menu at Cool-de-sac has been created with the assistance of nutrition professionals. Parents can enjoy gourmet dishes including salads, paninis, pizzas, pastas, and entrees like Churrasco, Sesame Seared Tuna and Seared BBQ Rubbed Salmon while sipping a glass of wine. Or relax with an espresso and a rich dessert like the chocolate decadence cake or the Nutella pizza made on whole wheat pizza dough. The kids menu is very unique and many of the entrees are made with Cool-de-sac's special "orange puree", which is a combination of sweet potatoes and carrots; a healthy way to sneak some vitamins into kids meals! The "Cool Kids" menu includes pasta, pizza, Toasted Chicken Quesadilla, Churrasco, Cripsy Nuggets, Grilled Cheese and a low fat Mac & Cheese which comes in at under 300 calories! For little ones, Cool-de-sac has put together a "Tots Plate" of applesauce, Cheerios, cubed cheese and diced chicken. Brilliant! Cool-de-sac has private rooms for birthday parties or special events and their Workshop Board features scheduled events like arts & crafts workshops, Mommy & Me groups, and themed parties.
Cool-de-sal fits MyKidsPlate.com's definition of a kids-friendly restaurant because it was designed with kids in mind first. But what we also LOVE about this restaurant/play cafe, is that they thought about creating a place where Mom and Dad can relax and dine while the little ones play. Bravo! |
