Papa Razzi | |||||||||||||
| NOMINATED The uniqueness of this restaurant's location is what contributes to Papa Razzi's charm. Sit at the bar for a casual night out or get a romantic table for two. Doesn't have to be just for dinner either. Papa Razzi boasts a tasty lunch and Sunday brunch menu too. | |||||||||||||

World Beat Cafe | |||||||||||||
| The World Beat cafe is an experience in flavors. This tapas menu offers such a variety, it's hard to choose. We relied on the server's recommendations and were not disappointed! Ask the owner for his too, he's usually there. This is a fun experience and you almost forget you're even in Florida. | |||||||||||||

Silvestro's | |||||||||||||

Sam Snead's Tavern | |||||||||||||
| Sam Snead's is a fantastic, classy Grown Ups' Night Out restaurant. With the only one left in Maitland, it's worth the trip. The ambiance and the food combine to create an experience that helps me forget about being a tired mom with a list of chores waiting for me at home. Turn it into a different kind of date night or girls night out by going ice skaing next door before or after dinner. | |||||||||||||

Bistro Bistro | |||||||||||||
|
|
Bistro Bistro is a great place to go without the kids because of it's reasonably priced menu (about $12 - $20 per person), they have outdoor seating, and live entertainment on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday in the blues and classic rock genres.

Orlando Brewing | |||||||||||||
| Orlando Brewing, located downtown, is a great spot to enjoy some homegrown beer. I've personally had several of them with my favorite being the Double Chocolate Stout. I know, it sounds a litle strange, but it is one of the best brews I've ever had. For those of you who say, "I don't drink beer," you've never had an Orlando Brewing creation. They have live entertainment sometimes so check out their website at www.orlandobrewing.com for the schedule. | |||||||||||||

Harry P. Leu Gardens | |||||||||||||
| We love Leu Gardens for date night and girls' night out. Each month during the spring and summer they have a movie night in the beginning of the month. It's usually a Friday night and guests are invited to enter 2 hours before movie time and bring your own picnic. The movies have ranged from Grease to Moonstruck and black and white love story classics. Check out their website www.leugardens.org for the schedule. | |||||||||||||

Melting Pot | |||||||||||||
| The Melting Pot is a fun-sharing fondue dining experience. This restaurant is a one-of-a-kind that’s fun whether you go for a date or with a group of people. When we are planning a night at the Melting Pot, we skip lunch so that we have room for dessert. Call ahead to any one of the three locations as it’s hard to walk-in on the weekends especially. | |||||||||||||

Seasons 52 | |||||||||||||
| Seasons 52 is one of our favorite restaurants. With seasonally inspried menus, and entrees less than 500 calories, you can enjoy some wine and dessert and not feel like you over induldged too much. There's also a back porch overlooking the water and a piano player providing live entertainment. It's a great evening out and a real treat. | |||||||||||||

Houston's | |||||||||||||
| This list would not be complete without Houston's Winter Park. First of all, I got engaged here next to a beautiful oak tree that has since been taken down by the hurricanes that came through Central Florida several summers ago. Secondly, I LOVE this restaurant. Although I could do without some of the pretense I love the atmosphere, the food, the adirondack chairs, and the seats by the water. There is very little not to like about Houston's Winter Park. | |||||||||||||

Cricketers Arms Pub | |||||||||||||
| In the mood for venturing to a different country without leaving Central Florida? Head to International Drive, not because it's called International Drive but because that is where you'll find Cricketers. They've moved from the Mercado and can now be found at Festival Bay. This English pub has 17 beers on tap and a feel that takes you across the ocean. What incents me to drive to Cricketers? The Big Red Dog, Jeff Howell performs there most Friday nights starting at 10. Oh yeah, they also have some yummy food. Check out www.cricketersarmspubs.com for their schedule of live entertainment and broadcast of sporting events. | |||||||||||||

Casey's on Central | |||||||||||||
|
|
Casey's is a great downtown landmark where you don't feel out of place. I don't know about you, but now that I'm a mommy there are places I went to in my twenties that I wouldn't go to now. Casey's doesn't make me feel that way and that's why I go. If you are in the mood for a downtown, low-key hangout, go to Casey's. And if you go on a Saturday, you're likely to catch some more of the Big Red Dog.
