What is a kid-friendly restaurant?
A kid-friendly restaurant is one that meets some of the 30 attributes identified by people who take kids out to eat. When you complete the survey on MyKidsPlate.com, attributes are ranked based on their importance during the dining experience. Certified restaurants on MyKidsPlate.com meet some of these attributes, are committed to continuing the kid-friendly things they do, and have a true desire to improve on what they are doing.
What makes the kid-friendly restaurants on MyKidsPlate.com different from other lists I’ve seen?
MyKidsPlate.com is the first list of kid-friendly restaurants that actually defines what kid-friendly means. Other sites and sources list kid-friendly restaurants based on votes or positions within the list are sold to the restaurants. MyKidsPlate.com defines what makes a restaurant kid-friendly based on what consumers define as kid-friendly in the survey.
How does a restaurant become certified as kid-friendly by MyKidsPlate.com?
Restaurants can be nominated by someone who has been to their restaurant, by an employee of the restaurant, or by a MyKidsPlate.com associate. The nomination can be for a restaurant that you already consider kid-friendly or for a restaurant that you wish did a better kid-friendly job. After the restaurant makes a commitment to MyKidsPlate.com that they want to be recognized as kid-friendly, a secret shopper is assigned, the restaurant receives their evaluation and kid-friendly points, and a consultation on ways they can be more kid-friendly.
What are a restaurant’s kid-friendly points?
